Joseph Griffin

Joseph Griffin was a recognized Revolutionary-era soldier associated with Chambers County,

Alabama, though specific details are unknown. His listing in the 1827 Georgia Land Lottery,

along with references in his will, help confirm his status as a recognized patriot. He later settled

in Chambers County, where he died after January 8, 1835. (Alabama Patriots Searchable

Database, 2026) 12 His service is acknowledged, but like many veterans, survives only in

fragmentary documentation. The location of his gravesite is unknown.
