Harrison Nicholson was born on March 12, 1760. He died on June 28, 1841, in Macon County,
Alabama. (Alabama Patriots Searchable Database, 2026) 28 He most likely served in the state
militia. His military role would have included local defense duties, such as guarding
communities, scouting, and engaging in small-scale actions against British-aligned forces.
Specific battles and commanders are unknown. After the war, Nicholson relocated to Alabama,
becoming part of the early settlement of Macon County. (Owen, 1911) 29 He is buried at the

not been properly marked.
